This year our theme is "A Red Carpet Affair."
We want the details of the decorations and theme to be a surprise to the seniors, and as is tradition with many proms we are inviting any juniors who would like to help plan the evening to email us at this address! We will meet in January to do some planning and then the day of the event, we invite those juniors to come and help with the decorations.  This is a fun tradition in many schools, and we thought it would be more fun to have the students involved with us in the planning.

We want this to be a very special night for all the young people and feel most of the following does not need to be said with our students, but in order to be very clear, please read these guidelines to your student and let them know these guidelines will be enforced:

1. Attire-formal (suits with ties or bow ties or tuxedos for the gentleman and formal, modest dresses for the girls -length can be tea length or floor length)

2. Once the students are checked in they may not leave the building until they are ready to leave the prom. Students will not be re-admitted . (If students forget something in their cars, we will have volunteers to go with them to get what is needed).

3. Everyone will be required to be respectful and courteous. (No profanity, alcohol or weapons allowed)

4. Parents are welcome to come and take pictures and be there for the beginning and end of the prom. We will have a group of chaperones for your children's safety, so we do request that once the eating begins that parents allow their students to have some space and if interested, return at 10:00 p.m. to watch them dance, take more pictures, etc.

5. All students need to be leaving the parking lot by 10:50 p.m. We have to be out of the facility by 11 p.m. The church has given us special approval to be there late, and we want to respect that. In addition any child who is there past 11:00PM will have to pay the extra hour incurred for staff and police (rate would be $36.00 for those two people).

6. A release of liability does need to be filled out and signed when registration form and checks are mailed.

7. Each attendee MUST fill out a Registration form and a Release of Liability form.  To receive these forms, please email us at besthomeschoolprom@gmail.com.  Print out a copy of each for your student and if applicable, for their date/friend as well.

These forms are required for attendance at the Prom.

Finally, we request you to help us spread the word. We have our list from last year, but there are new 9th graders and people who have moved into the area we might not have on our list. Would you forward this to any groups you are a part of and help us spread the word?

So to recap:

* Plan to have a fun evening on Friday, April 13th

*Save some money and get your registration in before the end of the year.

*Print the registration form and the release and include with your check

*If you have a high school junior, ask them to let us know if they want to help with the fun of decorating and planning .

* Help us spread the word by forwarding this information.
